Security and privacy

Who can see your research, and how it is handled.

A report names companies and people before the market knows about them, and your off-limits lists describe your client book. That is confidential material, and it is treated as such.

The short version

Your firm’s research is visible to the people you have given a seat to, and to the small MergeSearch team who produce and support it. Nobody else.

Your briefs are not shared between firms. Your profile is not shared between firms. Research is carried out against public sources; the private part is what we do with it for you.

Your card details never reach us — see invoices and payment.

Where to look next

Keeping your account secure covers passwords, two-factor authentication and the sign-in methods attached to your account.

Who can see what covers roles, seats and our own access.

How your data is handled covers what we store and where research comes from.

Two people build this, and both of them answer email.

No support tier, no ticket queue. If the manual did not answer it, ask us directly.
