Monitoring and opportunities

The scan that runs whether or not you have asked for anything.

A report answers a question you have already asked. The monitor is for the mandates you do not know about yet.

It runs continuously against your market and surfaces the moves that create a search: a leader leaves, new owners arrive, money lands. You read them under Opportunities, and any one of them becomes a brief in a single click.

What a monitor is

Your monitor is a standing brief. Reports run on the brief you write per mandate; the scan has no mandate to work from, so what you set under Settings, then Your market is its brief. That is why the questions there read as “what should we bring you” rather than “narrow this list down” — you are not filtering a feed, you are telling us what is worth interrupting you for.

Reading the feed

Each opportunity carries the company, the move, the date, and two short passages: what happened and why it matters. Where we have one, the source is linked — open it before you act on it.

Opening an opportunity marks it read. The band above the feed tells you whether monitoring is on, and what it currently covers.

The state of the monitor

The band above the feed says which of five states you are in, and each one names the next move.

Monitoring is on — the scan is running against the profile summarised beside it.

Monitoring is paused — you turned it off. Your criteria are kept exactly as they were, so turning it back on picks up where it left off.

Monitoring is interrupted — it is switched on and we are not scanning. That is ours to fix, and the band says so rather than reporting "on" while nothing runs.

Watching everything — no sector, move, region or size is set, so every filing we read is a candidate for your feed. It works, but the feed gets sharper the moment you narrow it.

Nothing is being watched — no market has been set yet. Nothing will arrive until it is.

Two people build this, and both of them answer email.

No support tier, no ticket queue. If the manual did not answer it, ask us directly.
