Plans and searches
What a plan includes, and what happens to a balance you have not used.
The unit is a search
A plan includes a number of searches each period, and keeps the monitor running throughout. One search is one vacancy. Opening a search spends one credit, and the monitor costs nothing on top of the plan.
Every product you can commission off that search is included, and so is every rebuild of one. Printing the market side and then the people side of the same search is two documents and one credit, because the research behind them was already paid for.
Your dashboard names the plan, shows how many searches are left and when the next period starts. Settings, then Billing has the same figure with the plan beside it, and what each plan includes. We do not quote prices here because the ones that matter are on that screen.
What happens to a search you did not use
It rolls into the next period. The billing screen shows the balance with how many rolled over, so a quiet quarter does not cost you the allowance.
Each search is yours for twelve months from the date you got it, then it ages out unused. That is the term in your contract, and the billing screen shows the next batch to reach it under Next to expire, with the date. Spend the oldest first and you will never meet it.
Nothing else takes a search away. Cancelling does not, a lapsed plan does not, and searches you already hold stay spendable with no subscription at all.
Beyond what your plan includes
Extra searches are bought one at a time from Settings, then Billing, at the price shown there. There is no counter that runs out mid-mandate.
Changing plan
Upgrade or downgrade from the same screen. If your plan is inside a minimum term the screen says so and names the date it runs to; changing before then goes through your account manager rather than the button. Firms on pricing we arranged directly see that message instead of plan cards, for the same reason.
The shape of the book, not the size of the plan
If your book has grown into a different shape rather than a different size — a new sector, a new region — the answer is often a profile change under Settings, then Your market rather than a different plan. Ask your account manager before you pay more.
